Law and order situation satisfactory: Home Minister

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has expressed his satisfaction over the law and order situation prevails across the country.

He said, “The law and order situation prevails across the country is satisfactory. No unwanted incident took place anywhere.”

The Minister came up with the observation to the reporters after visiting bus terminal and sacrificial animal market in the capital’s Gabtoli on Monday.

Kamal said, “No unexpected incident occurred across the country till now as the law enforcement agencies took different steps for security during Eid-ul-Azha. Hope, no unwanted incident will take place during the holidays. Police are very alert for this.”

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Javed Patwary said, “Enough security measures have been taken on the occasion of Eid. Collecting extortion and black markets are under control. Security measures haven taken on road, rail and waterways to assure safe journey for homebound people.”
