Juba League leader killed in Jashore bomb attack

Staff Correspondent, Jashore: A Juba League was killed and another one injured in a bomb attack in Ghop central area of the district town.

The deceased was identified as Arafat Rahman Liton, son of Abdul Munna Monu, He was former joint secretary of Juba League. 

Local said Liton and his brother Milon were staying in local Awami League office around 10:00pm on Friday. Meanwhile, a group of miscreants hurled bombs aiming them and fled the scene, leaving the two critically injured.

The injured were sent to Jashore General Hospital. Later, Liton was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital but he died on the way of Dhaka on Saturday morning.

Jashore Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Abul Bashar Mia confirmed the matter.
