Listed JMB man arrested

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Police arrested a listed member of the banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from his own residence of Rustompur Bharatiparha of the district's Bagha upazila on Wednesday noon.

The arrestee was identified as Milton Habib Pintu alias Iqbal, 40, son of late Abdul Hakim. He is an assistant teacher of Arani Choksinga Qoumi and Ebtedayee Madrasa of the area.

Ali Mahmud, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bagha Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said Pintu was allegedly involved in subversive activities. Earlier, RAB-5 of Rajshahi held him in February, 2005. He is no. 154 listed JMB member of Bagha Police Station.
