Loan agreement of Padma Bridge rail link project signed

Senior Correspondent: The loan agreement of the much-expected Padma Bridge rail link project has been signed.

The agreement of 2.67 billion US dollars was signed at the head office of China Exim Bank in the capital Beijing of China on Friday.

Zahidul Haque, additional secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD) of Bangladesh and Mr. Sun Ping, Vice President of China Exim Bank, signed the contract on behalf of their respective sides.

Officials from the contractor organizations and Economic Counselor of Bangladesh Embassy in China M Jahangir, among others, were present at the signing ceremony.

A six-member Bangladesh delegation is currently visiting China.
