Lt Gen Aziz Ahmed named new army chief

Staff Reporter: The Defence Ministry has named Lieutenant General Aziz Ahmed as the next chief of Bangladesh Army.
Ahmed, former director general of Border Guards Bangladesh, will take up the post on June 25.
He will be replacing Gen Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq whose prevailing term as the chief of army will end on June 25.
The Ministry of Defense issued the gazette on Monday.
