Lutfozzaman Babar hospitalised

Staff Correspondent, Sylhet: Former State Minister for Home Lutfozzaman Babar was hospitalised on Saturday morning as he fell ill in jail.

He was taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College from Sylhet Central Jail-1 around 10.45, said hospital sources.

Jail Super of Sylhet Central Jail Md Abdul Jalil confirmed the matter.

However, he said he was taken to the hospital as part of regular health checkup.

Babar was sentenced to death in the 10-truck arms haul case.
