MP Liton murder: Kader Khan on 10-day remand

Gaibandha Correspondent: A Gaibandha court placed former Jatiya Party (JP) lawmaker Abdul Kader Khan on a 10-day remand in the murder case of Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) Awami League lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton.
Judge Moinul Hassan Yousuf of Gaibandha's Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order on Wednesday noon.
Earlier police claimed in a press briefing that MP Liton was murdered planned and financed by Kader Khan.
Atiar Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sundarganj Police Station, confirmed the news.
He said Khader Khan was the mastermind of MP Liton murder. He was arrested from his wife-owned Garib Shah Clinic in Bogra on Tuesday afternoon.
A 10-day remand was sought for him after he was produced before the court on Wednesday noon. The court accepted the petition after hearing, he added.
