Madrasa student's throat-slit body found in Gulistan

Staff Correspondent: Police recovered the throat-slit body of a student from Madinatul madrasa close to Ahad police box at Gulistan in the capital early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Md Zidan, 11, son of Hafizuddin of Mymensingh district.

Rezaul Karim, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Paltan police station, said madrasa's head teacher Mohammad Moinuddin found mark of blood in the floor early Monday. Later, he along with others in the madrasa found the throat-slit body of Zidan near the toilet. Paltan police rushed to the spot after they were informed about the incident.

Reason behind the death could not be known immediately. Abu Bakar, also a student of the same madrasa, has been on the run since the incident, the police official said.
