Mahila Awami League gets new president, secy

Staff Correspondent: Safia Khatun and Mahmuda Begum have been elected as the president and secretary general, respectively, of Bangladesh Mahila Awami League, the associated organisation of the Awami League.

Besides, Shaheda Tareque Dipti was elected as president and Shabnam Shila as general secretary of Dhaka north and for south Sabera Begum as president and Nargis Rahman general secretary.

The committee was formed at the organisation’s council session at Krishibid Institution auditorium in Farmgate where councilors and delegate from across the country took part in the election of the committee. 

Earlier, Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurate the fifth national conference at Krishibid Institution premises.
