Man held with pistol, bullets in city

Staff Correspondent: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a man with a pistol, a magazine and bullets during a raid in Mohammadpur area in the capital.

The detainee is identified as Jamal.

RAB-2 senior assistant director (media) Mohammad Rabiul Islam on Monday said that acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers conducted a drive in a residence in the area on Sunday afternoon.

Later, following his information, RAB conducted drives in several spots and recovered the fire arms.

RAB claimed that extortion, snatching, killing and robbery was Jamal main profession. He usually carried out terrorist activities in Mohammadpur, Rayerbazar and adjacent areas.
