Marcel Distributors Meet vows to reach summit

Economic Correspondent: The Distributor Conference of Marcel, one of the fastest growing Bangladeshi brands, was held Wednesday (25 April, 2018) at its own factory in Chandra of Gazipur with the vow to reach summit in the vast changing market trends of electronics and technological products industry.
During the conference, Marcel authorities advised distributors to create ‘Customer Bank’ in order to reach the goal.
The day-long conference was attended by Marcel distributors and top officials came from all over the country. Group Vice-Chairman SM Nurul Alam Rezvi, Chairman of Marcel Enterprise SM Shamsul Alam, Managing Director SM Ashraful Alam, Executive Directors Eva Rezwana, Nazrul Islam Sarker, SM Zahid Hasan, Sirajul Islam and Humayun Kabir, Head of Marcel Marketing Dr. Md. Shakhawat Hossen, First Senior Additional Director Firoj Alam, actors Ilias Kanchan and Amin Khan along with other top officials spoke in the function.
Participants of the conference paid rich tribute to Founder Group Chairman late SM Nazrul Islam and prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul. Then they cut a cake to officially begin the conference.
Earlier in the morning, Marcel factory premise turned festive as distributors from various parts of the country entered into the conference venue. The distributors visited different production units of Marcel factory equipped with world’s latest technology and machineries.
Speaking on the occasion, SM Shamsul Alam, Chairman of Marcel Enterprise, said, customers earlier used to hesitate in purchasing 'Made in Bangladesh' labelled products. But now, local made products achieved confidence and trust of consumers for their high quality which led some people to sell foreign products under ‘Made in Bangladesh’ label.
Meanwhile, SM Ashraful Alam, Managing Director of Marcel Enterprise, said, we are witnessing revolutionary changes in the market trends of electronic products.
However, the market share of Marcel is growing in line with the trends and changes and it secured second place in the electronics market of Bangladesh. If the growth continues, then Marcel will reach top very soon and its products and services will find their way to every house. He said Marcel wants to go ahead in such a way that Bangladesh may emerge as the world's top country in electronics products.
Informing that Marcel currently has more than 200 models of refrigerators, he said new products are coming up which will boost the market share of Marcel.
Head of Marcel Marketing Dr. Md. Shakhawat Hossen said, this year, we have targeted to post sales of huge products worth taka 600 crore. To encourage and motivated distributors in achieving the target was the main objective of the conference.
The day-long conferenced ended with rewarding best distributors followed by a pleasant cultural function.
