Staff Correspondent: Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three as steep pressure gradient persists under the influence of a well marked low over the North Bay and adjoining areas.
According to a bulletin of the Met office issued on Thursday, it has intensified further and moved in East-central direction.
Squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of the country.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice. They are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.
