Medical board formed for treatment of leg losing Rozina

Staff Correspondent: A nine-member medical board has been formed for the treatment of Rozina Akter, 18, who lost her right leg in a road crash in the capital’s Banani area.
The medical board was formed on Thursday noon.
Prof Md Abul Kalam, Project Director of Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute (SHNBPSI), will lead the medical team.
National coordinator at National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Dr Samanta Lal Sen, also another member of the medical board, confirmed the news.
Yesterday, Rozina was shifted to DMCH from National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) as her condition deteriorated.
An Uttara-bound BRTC double-decker bus coming from Mohakhali hit Rozina, a domestic worker, while she was crossing the road in Chairman Bari area on the night of April 20.
The rear wheels of the bus ran over her right leg after she was hit by the vehicle.
She was rushed to Nitor immediately after the accident.
Hailing from Dhobaura upazila of Mymensingh, Rozina had been working at the house of journalist Ishtiaq Reza in Banani for nine years.
