Missing Magura physician found dead in Dhaka

Staff Correspondent: The dead body of a physician of Upazila Health Complex in Dariapur of Sreepur in Magura district, who went missing on January 3, has been found in capital Dhaka.

Rupchand Kumar Mondal, a friend of the physician Sumon Kumar Sikder, intensified his dead body at Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital on Monday noon.

Earlier on January 3, police recovered the dead body from the stairs of city's Aziz Super Market and sent to DMC Hospital morgue. Injury marks were found on the head of the body.

Somon's father Sukumar Sikder of Benga village in Magura Sadar Upazila said his son joined the hospital as doctor in 2014. Since then, he had been living at a rented house in College Para of the district city.

Sumon went missing on January 3 from this rented house where his cell phone was found.
