Staff Correspondent: The namaz-e-janaza of former Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mayor and Chittagong city Awami League President ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury will be held today (Friday) after Asr prayers at Laldighi in the port city.
Mohibul Hasan Nowfel, son of ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury and central organizing secretary of Awami League, confirmed the matter.
The former mayor died early Friday at Max Hospital in the port city.
He was 74.
Mohiuddin Chowdhury was taken to Max Hospital around 7.30pm on Thursday, and later he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital around 10:00pm and put on life support.
