Mother-son crushed to death by truck

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: A mother and her seven-month old son were killed and two other were injured as a truck hit their auto rickshaw on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Sathi Akhtar (20) and her son Safaet.

According to sources, a north-Bengal-bound truck hit an auto-rickshaw while it was crossing Ashekpur bypass area around 12.00pm, leaving the mother and her son dead on the spot and two other injured.

The injured two have been admitted to Tangail General Hospital.
