Mother, son killed in Bagerhat road crash

Bagerhat Correspondent: A woman and her seven-year old son were killed in a road accident in Kalibari Dona area under Morrelganj upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shilpi Aktar, 35 and her son Omar, a student of class two in Dona government primary school.

Sources said that the accident took place on Bagerhat-Morrelganj local highway around 10:00am. And the driver of the speedy microbus fled the scene after the road accident.

Later, the bodies were sent to Morrelganj upazila health complex.

Morrelganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rashed Alam confirmed the matter.
