Mother-son killed in Narsingdi road crash

Narsingdi Correspondent: A woman and her son were killed in road crash at Kondarpara bus stand area on Dhaka-Sylhet highways of the district’s Shibpur upazil on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Nasima Beguma, 30, wife of Lokman Hossain of Brahmandi village of the upazila, and their son Ifat, 7.
According to police, a Dhaka-bound bus from Bhairab ran over them while they were crossing road at Kondarpara bus stand area, leaving Ifat dead on the spot.
Nasima was succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital.
Hafizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Itakhola Highway Police Outpost, confirmed the news.
He said, “The bodies were recovered and the driver was held with the bus.”
