Mugger killed in Mohammadpur gunfight

Staff Correspondent: A suspected mugger was killed in a gunfight with police in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area early Saturday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Mohammapur police station Officer-in-Charge G G Biswas told risingbd.com, following a secret information that a gang of muggers took position near Basila Garden City with a private car, a team of police conducted a drive there.

Meanwhile, sensing presence of police, the muggers opened fire aiming the law enforcers which triggered the gunfight, leaving the mugger dead on the spot and injured another one.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, OC added.
