Mushfiq ton sets 262-run target for Sri Lanka

Sports Desk: Bangladesh set a target of 262 runs for Sri Lanka in the opening match of the Asia Cup 2018.
Bangladesh after winning the toss chose to bat first and scores 261 runs in 49.3 overs.
Mushfiqur Rahim was the top scorer with 144 runs on board. It was his best innings in One-Day International career. Earlier, his best was 117 runs against India.
From Sri Lanka’s side Lasith Malinga took 4 wickets four 23 runs in 10 overs.
Bangladesh’s top order collapsed as Lasith Malinga took wickets of Liton Das and Shakibul Hassan on the last two balls of his first over. Malinga returned to the international cricket after more than a year.
Mohammad Mithun who scored 63 runs, was also caught behind on Lasith Malinga’s ball. Mahmudullah (01) was caught by D de silva on Amila Aponso’s ball just after Mithun’s dismissal.
Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal has been sidelined from the Asia Cup due to wrist injury.
