Staff Correspondent: Eminent Bangladeshi musicologist and litterateur Dr Karunamoy Goswami passed away early Saturday at the age of 74.
Bangla Academy deputy director Dr Tapan Bagchi confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
His nephew's wife, Subarna Ghatak, said Dr Goswami was suffering from fever since Thursday. Later, he was taken to United Hospital in Baridhara where doctors declared him dead.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of the renowned music researcher Dr Karunamoy Goswami.
