'Myanmar receives list of 18,000 Rohingya families'

Senior Correspondent: Bangladesh has primarily handed over a list of 18,000 Rohingya families to a Home Ministry delegation of Myanmar.
The authorities of the country will scrutinize the list and reveal Bangladesh when they will start repatriation from the list.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told this to reporters after emerging from the meeting with 14-member delegation of Myanmar at Secretariat on Friday evening.
Home Minister said, "The meeting was fruitful. We informed them that around 11 lakh Rohingy people flooded to Bangladesh. They must have to be repatriated, ensuring their food, settlement and security on the basis of Kofi Annan report."
"They responded that they will scrutinize the list and take Rohingyas back, ensuring the three measures. We are hopeful on the discussion we made till now," he added.
A 14-member delegation of Myanmar reached the secretariat around 2:50pm. Bangladesh Home Ministry rolled out red carpet and received them with guard of honour.
Top officials of the law enforcement agencies including Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal were present there.
A 17-member delegation led by Home Minister attended the meeting.
The agenda which was discussed at the meeting include repatriation of Rohingyas, prevention of Yaba influx and three other deals.
