Nahid urges to keep Pvt university expenses affordable

Staff Correspondent: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has urged private university authorities to keep all expenses including tuition and admission fees affordable, regarding the country's socio-economic status.
The minister came up with the call while addressing at 21st convocation of North South University (NSU) in the capital on Saturday.
Nahid said, "Private universities are keeping a vital role in removing session jam in the higher education. But many universities still fail to meet the minimum requirements. They will not be allowed for more days. Legal steps will be taken against them."
"Students in several universities had gotten involved in militancy, but we controlled it with a strong hand," he added.
The minister told the students that you reached here overcoming several steps. You every student, from your own positions, has to keep contribution for the state after taking new lessons from the society.
