National election to be held in December of 2018: Muhith

Special Correspondent: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith said according to the rules, national election will be held in December of 2018.

The minister made the assertion while addressing reporters at his secretariat office in the capital on Monday morning.

He said, "According to the rules national election will be held in November in next year. That’s the suitable time for election in Bangladesh." 

Following Rohingya issue in Myanmar, he said, "It’s an international problem. The international communities have to come forward to solve the crisis."

In reply to another question, Muhith said, "Personally I am not interested to participate in the next election. But, I will join if the party wants."
