Nazmul Hassan getting ACC presidency in June

Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon is going to take charge of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) presidency for 2018-2020 tenure in the upcoming June.

As per the rotation policy of the ACC presidency, it is the BCB’s turn to appoint the next President of the regional body.

So, ACC has sought name of nominee from BCB recently.

The Board has unanimously approved name of its own president Papon as the BCB’s nominee for the ACC presidency from 2018-2020.

Papon said, “By rotation, it is turn for Bangladesh to take charge of presidency of ACC. For this, we were asked to recommend a name. I was approved unanimously in today’s board meeting.”
