Nepal tragedy: Alif laid to eternal rest

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: Nepal plane crash victim Alifuzzaman Alif has been laid to eternal rest at Razapur madrasa graveyard of Khulna’s Rupsa upazila on Friday.

Earlier, a Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Belfulia Islamia High School premises there after Jumma prayers. People of all walks of life attended the janaza.

Alif’s body reached his village home Aichgati of the upazila around 4:45am on the day.

Alif’s body among three were reached the country around 4:55pm on Thursday.

Later, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal handed over the body to the family after completing formalities concerned.

Alif’s first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Baitul Mukarram mosque on Thursday evening.

On March 12, at least 51 people were killed, including 26 Bangladesh nationals, when a US-Bangla Airlines plane crashed in Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport. Besides, 10 more Bangladeshis were also injured in the incident.
