Staff Correspondent: The Supreme Court (SC) has stayed the proceedings of the Niko graft case for three months against BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed.
A four-member bench of the Appellate Division head by the chief justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order following Moudud's petition on Wednesday.
With this order, the case proceedings will be stayed against all other accused as well, said Barrister Mahbub Uddin Kokhon.
However, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan said the case would be stayed for three months only for Moudud Ahmed, not for others.
