No MCQs to remain in JSC, JDC exams

Secretariat Correspondent: There will be no multiple choice questions (MCQs) in the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations, said Secondary and Higher Secondary Division Secretary Md. Sohrab Hossain.

He made the announcement at a meeting held at the Education Ministry on Thursday.

“There will be no MCQs in JSC and JDC examinations. We have taken a decision in principle in this regard in order to hold exams in a fair manner. Major changes will also be brought to other examinations in future,” Sohrab Hossain said.

To finalise the decision, another meeting will be arranged which will discuss major changes necessary for the examinations, he added.

He said it is being tough to check question paper leaks before and during examinations in the existing method. For this reason, we have taken a decision to bring major changes in the public examinations. In the light of this, changes will be brought to the JSC and JDC examinations scheduled to begin this year.
