Noakhali Correspondent: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday said no bid to create anarchy and violence on the election day will work as law enforcers remain alert.
“All the efforts to unleash anarchy will fail and the election will be peaceful as law enforcement agencies have taken adequate measures,” he said while talking to reporters after inspecting a newly constructed bridge over the Chhoto Feni River, connecting the Noakhali-Gorarganj road, in Companiganj upazila in the afternoon.
Quader said they remained ready to tackle any secret attack targeting them. “Our leaders and activists remain alert. All the conspiracies to foil the election will be thwarted.”
He said although a faction of the Jatiya Oikyafront was considering quitting the election race, the other group is in favour of remaining in the field.
