‘No guaranty for usual death for anyone’

Staff Correspondent: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said there is no guaranty for the usual death for anyone in the country—be it MPs or ordinary people—due to the failure of the government.

The BNP leader came up with the remark while talking to reporters in front of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman’s grave at Jatiya Sangsad premises in the capital on Monday.

Fakhrul went there to place wreaths on the occasion of the 38th founding anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the party.

Mirza Fakhrul said, “The government is using law enforcing agencies for its party interest. For this, it fails to ensure security for the MPs of its own party along with the ordinary people.”

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has taken an oath by placing wreaths at the grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman in a bid to restore democracy in the country, he said.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, publicity secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, JCD president Rajib Hasan and its general secretary Akramul Hasan were, among others, present at the function.
