No real politics exists in country: Ershad

Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad said, “Politics is for the welfare of the people in the country. Apparently, that politics does not exist in the country. Political parties are doing politics for their own interest not thinking about the interest of people. Basically, practice of real politics is absent in the country.”

The JP chairman made the remark at a joining event at his Banani office in the capital on Monday noon.

Earlier, more than a hundred leaders and activists joined the Jatiya Party under the leadership of BNP leaders Nurul Islam Raj and Ahsan Khan Raj of Tangail, by presenting a flower bouquet to the hands of Ershad.

Welcoming the leaders who joined the party, Ershad said, “The people of the country are fed up with the politics the Awami Leaqgue and BNP leaders are practicing. Now the people cannot keep trust on them. That’s why people are joining Jatiya Party as they know well that Jatiya Party does politics for the country and its people.

Ershad said many political parties are showing interest to form a coalition with Jatiya Party, adding that a political alliance will be formed under the leadership of Jatiya Party by a few days.

He urged the leaders and activists of the party to take preparation for the election.
