Kushtia Correspondent: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said, “Many of the incidents and accidents generally take place in a country. It cannot be considered as failure of the government. Rather, it is important that if the government is taking steps against the incident or not. So, there is no reality behind the demand of BNP leaders.”
Hasanul Haq Inu, president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), came up with the observation while exchanging views with the party leaders and activists at Kushtia Circuit House on Friday morning.
The made the reaction as BNP secretary general demanded resignation of the government and Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan over a road crash claimed lives of two students on Airport road on Sunday.
Inu said, “The accident was occurred by the driver. The government has no relation with it. The government took steps at the very first day of the incident. So, there is no question of stepping down for the government.”
“People, who are attempting to turn the road safety movement of the children, quota reform demonstration and anti-corruption movement as a movement against the government, want to spoil discipline and stability of the country. They want to catch fish in spoiled water creating instability across the country. So, I will tell BNP and those are trying to make it issue that the government has already taken steps in this regard. There is no benefit to try to take the movement on different way,” he added.
Golam Mohsin, Kushtia JSD president, Ahmed Ali, general secretary of Mirpur upazila JSD, among others attended the programme.
