No red alert is issued: Home Minister

Senior Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that there is no red alert in Bangladesh. Even, such situation is not created. However, Bangladesh government is in alert position after the attacks in Sri Lanka.

The minister made the opinion while replying reporters after visiting former health minister Sheikh Selim MP at Banani in the capital on Monday.

He said, no red alert is issued here in the country. Although, the law enforcers are in alert position.

“The body of Zayan Chowdhary will be brought back home on Tuesday. The militancy issued was brought under control after the Holy Artisan terror attack. There is no militant activity in Bangladesh. Even, there is no scope to rise militancy here,” he said.

Earlier, the Home Minister visited the residence of Sheikh Selim. Minor grandson of Awami League leader Sheikh Selim was among 290 people killed on Easter Sunday’s multiple blasts in Sri Lanka.
