Now private car driver loses leg as bus hits

Staff Correspondent: A private car driver lost his leg as a Green Line Paribahan bus hit him at the slope of Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover at Dholaiparh area of Jatrabari on Saturday noon.
The victim was known as Rubel.
He was referred to the Square Hospital at the capital’s Pantha Path area for advanced treatment, after he had been rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Meanwhile, Shahbag police seized the bus and held its driver Kabir over the incident.
Sources said, “The Green Line Paribahan bus hit Rubel’s private car around 2:30pm, leaving him skidded off the car and got his left leg severed. Later, locals rushed him to the hospital immediately.”
Witness Imtiaz said, “Rubel’s private car was standing at the slope of Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover at Dholaiparh. The Green Line bus hit it and tried to flee the scene. Rubel tried the bus to stop with his car. But the bus hit it again, leaving Rubel skidded off and got severed his leg.”
Bachchu, Sub-Inspector (SI) of DMCH police outpost, said, “Rubel was sent to the Square Hospital from DMCH around 4:00pm.”
Tariqul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Shahbag Police Station, said, “Being informed, the bus was seized and its driver was held. He is being interrogated over the incident.”
