Obaidul Quader able to walk now

Senior Correspondent: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader is now able to walk slowly as his health condition improved more at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.

Obaidul Quader will be shifted to cabin from ICU of the hospital tomorrow morning as his condition has improved as expected.  

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Director Dr Abu Naser Rizvi made the disclosure on Monday morning.

He said Obaidul Quader exchanged greetings with his family members, lawmaker Ekramul Karim Chowdhury and Awami League leaders who are beside him this morning.

Earlier, Dr Sivathasan Cumaraswamy, Cardiothoracic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital explained Quader’s family members of his latest physical progress. 

Obaidul Quader's wife Ishratunnesa, younger brother Abdul Quader Mirza, nefhew lieutenant colonel Fakhruddin Ahmed, AL deputy publicity secretary Aminul Islam, Gazipur City Corporation Mayor Jahangir Alam are accompanying the minister to Singapore.
