Oikya Front’s 7 MPs skip oath ceremony

Senior Correspondent: The seven MPs-elect from opposition BNP or Jatiya Oikya Front did not join the oath ceremony at the parliament secretariat.

The Jatiya Oikya Front elects joined a meeting led by BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Gulshan.

After the meeting, Oikya Front is scheduled to submit a memorandum to the Election Commission around 3:00pm highlighting irregularities in the election.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that all candidates were asked to submit evidence of irregularities including vote rigging, arrest and election violence.

The Oikya Front top leaders will submit a memorandum with data and information of irregularities after the meeting with BNP leaders, Rizvi said.
