Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Oikyafront urged media to play neutral role for the sake of free and fair election.
Dr Kamal Hossain, chief of the alliance made the call while addressing a view exchange meeting with editors and delegation of the country’s print media on Friday.
The meeting began at Lakeshore Hotel in the capital’s Gulshan at 3:30pm.
Prothom Alo’s editor Matiur Rahman, Motiur Rahman Chowdhury of Manab Zamin, Abu Taher of Bangladesh Pratidin, Saiful Alam of Jugantor, Shyamal Dutta of Bhorer Kagoj, Mostafiz Shafi of Samakal, Imdadul Haq Milon, Nayeemul Islam Khan of Amadershomoy.com, Kamal Uddin of Holiday, Riaz Uddin of News Today and Nurul Kabir of New Age joined the meeting.
Dr Kamal Hossain, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khandoker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Mostafa Mohsin Montu, Subrata Chowdhury, ASM Abdur Rab and Mahmudur Rahman Manna of Jatiya Oikyafront attended the meeting.
