One killed in Gazipur road crash

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A man was killed as a truck hit a covered van in Baniarchala area of Gazipur city early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as helper of the truck Mizan, 22, son of late Chand Mia of Netrokona district.
Sujon Kumar, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Mawna Highway Police Station, said the accident took place on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in the area early Sunday when the truck hit the covered van from behind, leaving helper of the truck Mizan dead on the spot.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body, the police official added.
