One killed in Meghna launch collision

One passenger was killed and several others were injured in a head-on collision between two launches in Meghna river on Friday midnight.

The collision took place in Charkishoreganj area under Sonargaon in Narayanganj. According to sources, a Chandpur-bound “Bogdadia-13” collided head-on with the Dhaka-bound “Manik-4”.

The deceased was identified as Humayun Bandukachhi. Some of the injured are identified as Rozina, 30, Sonia, 26, Sona Mia, 40, Billal Howlader,33, and Mamun, 40.
