One killed in ‘gunfight’ in city

Staff Correspondent: A suspected drug trader was killed in a gunfight with members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Beribadh area of Mirpur in the capital early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Asadul, 30.
Confirming the matter, RAB Legal & Media Wing Senior Assistant Director ASP Mizanur Rahman said that two RAB members were also injured during the ‘gunfight’ with the ‘drug traders’.
The law enforcers recovered two foreign pistols and some drugs from the spot.
