One killed, two injured in city compressor blast

Staff Correspondent: A worker was killed and two others sustained burn injuries in an explosion at a rubber factory in the city’s Shyampur area on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Nasir, 35, a worker of the Rubber Factory. 

Workers said that the explosion took place at the factory compressor around 9:30am in Ali Bahar area of Shyampur. Basically, the rubber factory produced Tyres.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost in-charge Bacchu Mia said that the two injured –Mofazzal, 30 and Babul, 28 are admitted in the hospital in critical condition.
