One minute blackout on March 25 night: Home Minister

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that the country will observe a one-minute blackout on the night of March 25.
"Meanwhile, switches of all lights will be kept off. The programme will be observed demanding the day as International Mass Killing Day," he said.
The Home Minister came up with the announcement in a meeting at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Friday.
He said, "The mass killing by Pakistanis on the unarmed Bengalis on March 25 in 1971 was heinous. This programme will be observed to remember the day internationally."
"The people of the country will observe the programme for one minute from 9pm to 9:01pm on March 25 demanding international recognition. If the programme can be observed properly, then we can get the recognition," he added.
