PEC, Ebtedayee exams to begin Nov 18, MCQ excluded

Secretariat Correspondent: Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman said Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee Examinations for class V students will begin on November 18.

This year the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) system has been excluded from the exams, he said.

The minister made the announcement at a press conference at his secretariat office on Thursday.

A total of 27,77,270 students will sit for the exams this year among which 12,78,000 students are male and 14,98,000 are female.

The two and a half hours tests will start at 10:30 am and end at 1:00 pm.

The exam schedule for PEC: English on November 18, Bangla on November 19, Bangladesh and World Introduction on November 20, Primary Science on November 22, Math on November 25, Religion and Moral Education on November 26.

The exam schedule for Ebtedayee: English on November 18, Bangla on November 19, Bangladesh and World Introduction and Science on November 20, Arabic on November 22, Math on November 25 and Quran and Tajbid and Akaid and Fikh on November 26.
