PM appreciates Walton products at industries fair

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her satisfaction over the world standard electronics, electrical and tech products made by Walton while she visited its stall at the “National Industrial Fair-2019” at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital on Sunday.
She also admired the brave initiatives of Walton, the country's leading electrical, electronics and home appliances manufacturing and marketing company, for the production, marketing and export of these country-made products.
Earlier, the premier inaugurated the maiden seven-day long “National Industrial Fair-2019” in the morning. Later, she visited different stalls participated in the fair.
PM’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, secretary of the Ministry Abdul Hamid and President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin were also present there.
She also repeated her admirations after observing the country-made international standard different home appliances including laptops, mobile phones, fridges, air conditioners and rice cookers made by Walton.
She was very happy to know that the compressors manufactured in Bangladesh are currently exported abroad.
She also thanked Walton Group as the country's leading electronics company released different tech products including mobile phones, fridges and home appliances to the local market at very much low prices.
Prime Minister again came up with her satisfaction while Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi told her that Walton is manufacturing international standard elevators or lifts in the country.
On behalf of Walton, the Deputy Executive Director of the company, Sharif Harunur Rashid Sony informed PM and others who accompanied her about various products.
Conveying thanks to PM for her visit to Walton stall, he told Sheikh Hasina that the company was able to come up with this boldness to manufacture high-tech products because of her government’s policy support. Bangladesh is now self-sufficient in manufacturing the products. Walton is supplying different quality products to the country’s every corner with affordable prices, making people to lead standard and modern life. Walton products are currently being exported to nearly 20 countries after fulfilling country’s demand.
Mentiobale, as many as 300 organisations are taking part in the fair to display country-made jute goods, food and agro products, leather items, electrical and electronics products, plastics and handicrafts.
The fair which will continue till April 6 is open for all from10:00am to 8:00pm every day.
Walton, as a large electrical, electronics and tech company, is displaying different products including refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions, compressors, laptops, computers, mobile phones, lifts, industrial solutions and home and electrical appliances in the fair.
