PM seeks vote for 'boat'

Staff Correspondent, from Sylhet: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged the people to give another chance by reelecting the Awami League government in the next general election for the sake of continuation of the country's development.
She sought vote for "boat", the electoral symbol of Awami League, to reelect the party in the next general election.
Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League president, made the call while addressing a mammoth rally on Sylhet Government Alia Madrasah ground on Tuesday afternoon.
Hasina started her party's electoral campaign through the today’s rally ahead of the 11th parliamentary election likely to be held at the end of this year.
Chanting slogans, the party leaders and activists from different parts of the city joined the rally to make it a success. The Alia Madrasa ground becomes filled with the people supporting the party.
Earlier, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister landed at MAG Osmani International Airport at 10.40am.
During the visit, she offered Ziarat at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA), Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) and Hazrat Gazi Borhan Uddin (RA) in the city.
She also inaugurated 14 development projects and lay foundation stones of 24 others during her public address.
