PM visits Chawkbazar fire victims

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has visited the victims of Chawkbazar tragedy at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The premier arrived at DMCH burn unit at 10:25am on Saturday. She talked to the doctors about the health condition of the victims and expressed condolence to the relatives of them.

Earlier on Thursday, Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Sayeed Khokon visited the spot and said that the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina monitored rescue operation on that night. 

A massive fire broke to raze five buildings and several vehicles in Churihatta, Chawkbazar on Wednesday night. A number of 37 units douzed the blaze after working for 14 hours. A total 67 bodies were counted at the morgue. There are nine patients now undergoing treatment at the burn unit and nine others were released after primary treatment.
