'PM working to ensure women's empowerment'

Senior Correspondent: Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working to ensure 100 percent education and empowerment of women.

The Minister made the assertion while addressing a programme organized by Bangladesh Girls Guide Association in the capital on Wednesday morning.

He said all girls have to go ahead to build an ideal Bangladesh with the spirit of language movement and following the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He said, "Thought means positive thought.  We have to maintain that type of thought which will make our personal life beautiful, develop social life and play role to bring peace."

National Commissioner of Bangladesh Girls Guides Association Syeda Rehana Imam presided over the programme where Chairman of Land Reform Board Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Deputy National Commissioner of Bangladesh Girl Guides Association (Program) Prof Dr Yasmin Ahmed and other attended.
