‘PM’s speech over Khaleda’s health is true’

Staff Correspondent, Savar: Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader claimed that the speech made by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's health is not untrue.

The Minister came up with the claim while visiting the development work of Baipal-Abdullhapur highway at Zirabo in Ashulia on Saturday noon.

Quader said, “BNP leaders are resorting to falsehood regarding the health condition of BNP chief Khaleda Zia. The civil surgeon has already visited her (in jail)...A medical board will be formed and she would be sent abroad if the board suggests.

Quader said the government will do everything for the proper treatment of Khaleza Zia after taking doctors' advice.

"If the doctors suggest to send her (Khaleda Zia) abroad for treatment, then the government will do it," he added.

Local lawmaker Dr Enamur Rahman, Jubo League Organizing Secretary Faruque Hasan and AL Savar upazila Organizing Secretary Dewan Mehedi Hasan Manju, among others, were present on the occasion.
