Parliamentary body for sending Rohingyas to Tengarchar

Staff Correspondent: The parliamentary standing committee on foreign affairs ministry has expressed consensus with the decision taken by the government to send the Rohingya intruders to Tengarchar near Nijum Dwip under Hatiya upazila of Noakhali as part of their rehabilitation.

The committee supports the decision taken by the government over Rohingya issue at a meeting in the Jatiya Sangsad on Sunday afternoon with ruling Awami League lawmaker Dipu Moni in the chair.

The propaganda which is being spread saying Tengarchar is not a place suitable for living is denounced by the committee.

The committee recommended for continuing a diplomatic effort to send back the Rohingya people who are living in Bangladesh and freshly intruding to the country to Myanmar.

The committee also put emphasis on the continued efforts to solve the problem at national and international level by incorporating global community.
