Pay Tk 50 lakh to Rajib's family: HC

Staff Correspondent: The High Court has ordered the authorities concerned to pay Tk 50 lakh in compensation to the family of Government Titumir College student Rajib Hossain.
BRTC and Sajan Paribahan have to pay Tk 25 lakh each within two months.
The bench of Justice JBM Hassan and Justice MD Khairul Alam delivered the verdict on Thursday.
Earlier on May 19, the court set June 20 to deliver the verdict.
Rajib Hossain, a 20-year-old student of Government Titumir College, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on April 17; after spending two weeks in a coma because he lost a hand between two buses in Karwan Bazar.
On May 8, the Court ordered the bus companies to pay Tk one crore to Rajib's family as compensation. BRTC and Sajan Paribahan challenged the order.
